Katie Ruddell is the founder of Kokomo, a local vegan restaurant with locations in Kitsilano, Chinatown, and coming soon to North Vancouver. Katie’s love for food came from her experience healing herself with an anti-inflammatory, plant-based diet. She began to express her creativity in the kitchen and fell in love with food.
“One of my biggest strengths as a leader is knowing what I don’t know, and knowing what I do know. I love what I know — those are the things I love to do. And for the other things — I’m never afraid to ask for help.”
Katie and Steph talk about the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, balancing short and long term goals, and how to make summer a state of mind as the rainy season begins in Vancouver.
“Using my energy to create an experience for people will be something I do for the rest of my life”.
Katie’s morning routine:
- I am… I will… statements for the day.
- A warm tonic (check out her instagram for recipes)
